  Calgary Women’s Disc Golf League is back for a fun-filled 2024 season!

  
  

  Packed with fun events the CDGC Women’s Disc Golf League will run between April 29 through September 9, and is open to all female-matching players of all age and skill levels, whether you're new to the game or have been playing for years. This is shaping up to be a fantastic season and is the perfect opportunity to hit the course, work on your skills, and get to know some of the incredible people in our local disc golf community.

   

  Building on the success of last year’s season we have big plans in the works! This year we’ll be trialling splitting into two tiers for Competitive and Recreational players. This will allow those looking for more of a competitive league to focus on their game, while still allowing space for those out for a relaxed round. One dedicated week a month will be mixed cards within both tiers, as well as long weekend fun rounds, it’s still important to keep building our YYC DG Community.

   

  Juniors, we would love to have you join our league! Note to parents, any player younger than 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian as per PDGA Youth Safety rules.
  
  

  When: 6 pm shotgun start, Mondays April 29 to September 9.

  Where: Currie Reservoir DGC for 13 weeks of PDGA play.

  Cost: $75 for the season, prepaid and non-refundable. Must be a CDGC member. JOIN THE CDGC!
  

  What do I get for my league fees?

  • League Member only Beginner Clinic on April 29.
  • • Learn some basics or brush up on your throws under the guidance of our fabulous coaches.
  • Competitive and Recreational tiers.
  • • Competitive: FP, FA80/70/65/60/55/50/40, FA1, FA2.
    • Recreational: FA3, FA4, FJ18/15/12/10/08/06.
  • 13 weeks of PDGA sanctioned play.
  • • May 6 through August 26 (no long weekends).
  • 4 weeks of planned league outings, outside of PDGA play.
  • • Long weekend Mondays we will continue the tradition of informal meetups for those in town and looking to participate.
  • 2024 CDGC Women’s League Tag and marker disc.
  • Draw for “The Crush” registration fees.
  • • PDGA B-Tier Women’s Tournament, August 17 & 18, one lucky league member will have their tournament fees paid!
  • Door prizes and random draws.
  • Women’s DG League member only events.
  • Year end prizes and awards.
  • Season wrap-up event on September 9.
  • Donation to support the CDGC.

  Unable to commit? Drop in! $7/night, show up and bring cash. If you decide to join our league, drop-in fees will go towards league registration. Note: drop ins are not eligible for prize draws and season awards.

  Junior Disc Golf Lessons
  

  The CDGC is offering this awesome opportunity for Junior players in the Calgary area to learn to play Disc Golf! 

  If you are looking for a fun, uplifting and structured experience for your child/children - we encourage them to join us!
  

  Who:  Junior boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14.

  When:  Thursdays 6:30-8:30 pm (approx.), May 2 to June 27.
  

  Where:  Lindsay Park Disc Golf Course.
  

  What:  15-20 minutes of instruction followed by 9 holes of play. Instruction will cover rules/etiquette and skills (Putting, Forehand form, Backhand form, Throwing edges, and playing in the wind).

  Players will keep score each week, points will be awarded to the participants who improve the most from week to week.  Prizes will be awarded at the end of June with a wrap up tournament party.

  The focus will be on fun and expanding skills and overall improvement.
  

  Cost:  Only $10 for 9 weeks of lessons with our local Pro, Thomas Kuhn! 
  

  Membership:  Juniors must be CDGC members.  If you require a membership, choose one of the Lessons with Membership sign-up levels.  Our one-time Junior Membership remains in effect until the member is 18 years old.

  Tuesday Night Flight League at Currie Reservoir
  Now in its 25th year! 

  2024 Season will start on Tuesday, May 7th and run until Tuesday, September 3.
  

  Flex Start Times between 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM

  Cost: $10 per night for a total of $150. $10 Admin Fee.
  Playoff weeks are no cost.   Must be a CDGC member.

  Total Cost: $160

  Nightly cost of $10 is broken down as follows:

  $6 – Nightly payouts
  $1 – Ace Pot
  $2 – Playoff payout
  $1 – CDGC

  Players will be reimbursed at season end by e-transfer or cash. Reimbursement will include weekly winnings, Ace pot money, Playoff money and repayment of any missed weeks.

  General Concept:           

  This will be a 15-week league plus 3 or 4 weeks of playoffs.

  League Format: There will be approximately 5 Flights. Players will be placed in Flight, based on their Average Score. Players will be competing for nightly prize money within their own flight. There will be NO handicaps within each Flight.

  The League Director reserves the right to change range of Flights, based on number of League entrants and results.

  League will be held at Currie Disc Golf Course, playing from the Yellow Tees. Initial Flights are as follows:

  Flight 1 – Average Scores under 68

  Flight 2 – Average Scores between 68.0 and 71.99

  Flight 3 – Average Scores between 72.0 and 75.99

  Flight 4 – Average Scores between 76.0 and 83.99

  Flight 5 – Average Scores over 84.0

  Scores will be recorded using UDisc
